Rope always brings out what was hidden. But especially in this simple and complex tie: everything comes out in these first few moments…
Calmness, security, tenderness, nervousness, controlling… Do they enjoy each other?.. How do they attend to each other?
Are they externally oriented? Do they do “moves”?
How lyrical can a couple of wraps and friction get?
How real can you get?
I know there are dozens of different harnesses available on the upper body. I guess they all help to express something. None of them touch me to tears.
I guess I just love Gote… I‘m addicted to seeing this moment of truth.

This sentiment was written whilst watching a lovely couple tying in our studio. I was moved to tears by their concentrated quietness. Such a drastic contract with the crazy EURIX vibe… Big spaces call to escalate, go louder, higher, tougher.
Let’s also not forget this other way. The quiet way. Slowing down with each other whilst tying a first couple of wraps. Inviting depth, the unfolding of the moment.
Something true lives there.
